The exercise 'Drawing Bots' serves as a useful method for introducing students to physical computing workflows. These devices combine the use of physical mechanical devices, drawing instruments, and computational processes to create experimental drawings. By modifying parameters and constraints, in the physical device, or in the code, outputs are affected allowing for the generation of a range of movements and patterns. In these courses, drawing bots serve as a pedagogical tool for introducing topics of input/output, feedback, closed loop systems, responsive design, and cybernetics | ||
