DATA VISUALIZATION | |||
Tutor: Frank Melendez, Assistant Professor SSA CCNY
|
The course emphasizes how computational tools have evolved and impacted architectural design through methodologies in visual-programing, and scripting tools and techniques that encourage and promote computational design thinking. Principles in algorithmic design, data management, and digital workflows will provide the underpinnings for creating data visualizations. Students will gain an understanding of the scripting environment and scripting syntax such as variables, loops, conditionals, and recursion. Students learn the principles of physical computing to build an environmental data collection kit. They will also learn to use data sets from available sources. | ||
